Marina Symington is an Economic Analyst at London Economics. Her role involves both qualitative and quantitative analysis, including statistical and econometric modelling. She has a particular interest in behavioural economics, education, and labour markets, and is currently working on a project for the NHS Confederation to estimate the Return on Investment (RoI) associated with funding women’s health. Since joining London Economics, Marina has also worked on designing and analysing quantitative surveys to estimate the value of the public weather service for the Met Office, as well as projects for the Government of Jersey and the Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology (DSIT).  

Marina holds an MSc in Economics and Data Science and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Nottingham. During her studies, she gained valuable experience in conducting independent research, including econometric analysis and modelling. Marina was awarded Best MSc Dissertation for her thesis, which analysed consumer reviews to investigate the effects of gentrification and neighbourhood change in Philadelphia.
