The British Academy has published an interactive dashboard and accompanying briefings looking at the career paths of SHAPE graduates (i.e. those with a degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, and the Arts for People and the Economy) and their contribution to the UK economy. The analysis and reporting underpinning the publications were undertaken by London Economics based on the two major UK data sources providing information on graduates and their labour market outcomes, the Labour Force Survey and the Longitudinal Education Outcomes data.
Key findings from the analysis show the number of SHAPE graduates over time, their sector of employment, region of residence, their labour market outcomes in terms of employment and earnings, their labour market resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis and their ability to return to work after experiencing unemployment spells.
The dashboard and associated publications are available on the British Academy website (here).
