The UK Space Agency commissioned LE for the third time to update the government’s reference analysis on the UK space industry, including various breakdowns of turnover by satellite type, value chain segment and region. The 2018 edition of the study also included overviews on Gross Value Added (GVA) and employment throughout the UK space industry (including Scotland), a detailed growth decomposition and presents segmentation based upon value-chain (e.g. manufacturing, operations, applications and ancillary service providers), activities, capabilities, customer type and exports and imports by geographical source.

These insights play a critical role in shaping UK space policy and targeting support to help industry meet the 10% global share ambition by 2030.
