Sam Hartshorn is an Economic Analyst at London Economics. Sam holds an MSc in Economics and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Exeter. Across both of his degrees, Sam completed modules covering a wide range of economics, including public policy, labour economics, financial economics and industrial organisation. During his studies, he also established beneficial experience in econometric analysis and modelling.

Before joining London Economics, Sam contributed to a variety of different projects in different sectors at another economic consultancy. Sam researched a number of topics, including voluntary carbon markets, emerging trends in financial technology and data and the FCA’s proposals for a consolidated tape. Amid the financial troubles of Thames Water, Sam also worked on a project that analysed the impact of privatisation on the water industry in the UK.
