Ronnie O’Toole is a Partner with London Economics. In his earlier career, Dr. O’Toole worked as Chief Economist of Danske Bank and in Forfás/Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation in Ireland. While at Forfás, Ronnie had responsibility for input to policy to develop indigenous and FDI firms and he advised on Ireland’s trade and labour productivity policy. Ronnie also ran the National Payments Plan in the Central Bank of Ireland, and has strong experience in payments and the broader consumer finance area.

Since joining London Economics, Ronnie has managed or played a senior role on a number of evaluations and other projects for Government departments and agencies, as well as for the private sector. These have included the design and implementation of a number of large-scale stakeholder consultation and survey research programmes.

Ronnie holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a B.A. in Maths and Economics from the University of Dublin, Trinity College, and has lectured on economics and policy evaluation techniques in the Smurfit Business School and the Public Affairs Institute.
