Pat Mathewson predominantly works with the Space team at London Economics. His role involves both qualitative and quantitative research, including statistical and econometric modelling and desk-based research. He has supported projects for the GSA (including a comprehensive market share analysis of earth observation technology) and the procurement of Oman’s first sovereign satellite with Space Communication Technologies.
He holds an MPA in Public and Economic Policy with distinction from the London School of Economics, and a MA in Economics and International Relations from the University of St Andrews.
Prior to joining LE, he worked in international development with The International Growth Centre, where he contributed to economic research and policymaking in health, energy, and education infrastructure in Zambia. He also contributed to the Reducing State Fragilities Initiative, providing policy support in fragile states and post-conflict settings.
