Moritz Profanter is an Economic Consultant at London Economics, working in the Education and Labour Market Team. He has gained extensive experience in impact assessments and public policy evaluations, working with various government departments and higher education institutions. In doing that, he has used a variety of research approaches such as econometric analysis, financial modelling, literature review, desk research and stakeholder interviews.
At London Economics, Moritz has worked on an economic and social impact assessment of volunteering in the UK for the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. This involved designing and conducting econometric analysis to identify the impact of volunteering on wellbeing and labour market outcomes. Moreover, he has worked on several projects related to the childcare market with the Department for Education. This includes the evaluation of the Survey of Childcare and Early Years Provider and of the impact of the Early Years Financial Incentive Programme on the supply of childcare workers in the UK.
Moritz holds an MSc and Diploma in Economics with distinction from the University of Warwick (with a specialisation in applied microeconomics), an MSc in Philosophy of the Social Sciences from the London School of Economics and a BA in International Business Administration from the Munich Business School.
