Maike is an Associate at London Economics and a member of our Education and Labour Markets team. She has extensive experience delivering analyses in the higher and further education arena and worked for London Economics directly for 8 years. She was also co-head of the Education and Labour markets team.
Maike has unparalleled experience delivering economic analyses in the higher education arena. These have included analyses of higher education fees and funding arrangements and systems; international student demand for UK higher education; the impact of Brexit on UK higher education enrolment; and economic impact analyses on behalf of a wide range of higher education institutions – in the UK and internationally. Maike has worked across the entire sector, with research delivered for several government departments and agencies, trade unions, higher education membership organisations, think tanks, and individual higher education institutions. Given her experience, Maike has been appointed a peer reviewer for the Economics of Education Review.
Maike has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Maastricht University, the Netherlands, and the University of California at Berkeley, United States. She also holds a Master of Science in Economics from Maastricht University.
