James Cannings is a Senior Economic Consultant at London Economics, working across LE’s practice areas, with a particular focus on the Education and Labour Markets practice.

James has strong knowledge of the labour market for healthcare professionals, having worked on projects for the Royal College of Nursing and the Department for Work and Pensions. He is experienced in economic impact analysis, having undertaken analyses for several UK universities and private sector organisations. He has experience in literature reviews, project management, survey design, and stakeholder consultations. He has strong quantitative skills, including cluster analysis, econometric analysis, text-based analysis of large datasets, survey analysis and revenue modelling. He holds an MSc (cum laude) in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.
