James Cannings is an Economic Analyst at London Economics, with experience of quantitative work, desk-based research and report-writing while working on projects for the European Commission, the Department for International Trade and the UK Space Agency.
James’s quantitative experience includes econometric analysis, survey analysis, cluster analysis and text-based analysis on large datasets. James’s research experience includes a literature review of the relationship between FDI and R&D; reviewing national competition authority guidelines to assess aspects of market definition; and researching public procurement data sources across EU member states. He holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and an MSc (cum laude) in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University.
