Daniel Herr is a Senior Economic Consultant working in London Economics’ advanced technologies team. Daniel has extensive experience in evaluations of advanced technologies. He has project managed a number of recent studies applying rigorous economic methods to evaluations of advanced technologies including Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Advanced Materials, Fusion, and High Performance Computing.
Daniel’s expertise in the area of advanced technologies is underpinned by a substantial technical knowledge. Daniel graduated with a distinction in Informatics and Software Engineering from the Secondary Technical College Leonding and gained experience as a professional software developer prior to joining London Economics. He has a rigorous academic training in statistical modelling and has experience applying Machine Learning and advanced data technologies to problems such as predicting the equity premium in the S&P 500 market, for his master’s thesis, and identifying clusters among consumers with low financial resilience, using a large dataset for a project for a public sector client.
Daniel holds an M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Cambridge as well as a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of York (first class honours). He is currently studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with Emeritus, in collaboration with Columbia Engineering Executive Education.
